Community Medical Centers has been providing central California with the highest level of care available in the region. Responsible for counseling patients regarding insurance benefits and recommend alternate sources of payments and financial assistance to patients and families. Answers questions regarding insurance, provide estimates of co-pay amounts, and assist patients with completing applications for financial assistance and grants.
Works closely with pre-registration and prior authorization staff and patients with their insurance carrier, to provide financial counseling to patients, and to work with the business office to ensure timely claim and account follow up. Assists Navigation and Social Services with guidance to patients who may qualify for assistance through state, county, and federal programs.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
MINIMUM REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related field and 2 years’ experience working in one or more of the following: registration, insurance verification, financial counseling, or patient accounting.
