Community Regional Medical Center is the flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers – a private, not-for-profit healthcare system based in Fresno, California, and the largest healthcare provider and private employer in central California. The Charge Nurse assists the Clinical Supervisor by serving as Primary Liaison for an assigned care area with physicians, staff, patients, and families. He/she is responsible for coordinating patient flow and staff assignments and the oversight of Patient Safety, Quality, and Regulatory activities on the assigned shift.
2 years experience as a staff RN in the area of assignment or demonstrated competency by achieving minimum 35 points on RN Competency Model Evaluation form. 6 months experience as a Relief Charge RN or in a team Leadership role.
PREFERRED: Bachelors degree in nursing.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIRED: Valid CA RN License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Certifications as required for the unit. National Certification for the area specialty, if does not have certification, must be eligible for certification within 6 months of hire into position.
