Assures all biomedical equipment (surgical, monitoring, life support and resuscitation) be maintained in a high state of reliability and safety and to effect rapid repair of sophisticated state of the art systems.
Minimum Required: Associates degree from an accredited college or technical school or equivalent military electronics training. Two to three years of experience as a Biomedical Technician or as an Electronics Technician in a related field.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or related field. Significant training in various types of patient related medical equipment. Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) from the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI).
