    The RN HRO Project Lead position is a vital member of our mission.

     

    Serves as a project lead in cross-functional teams to facilitate and coordinate facility-based education and quality improvement projects that support development of a culture of high reliability organizations (HRO).

    Responsibilities

    • Research and utilize best practices related to culture assessment, change management, education modalities, performance improvement methodologies and high reliability organization (HRO) principles.
    • Collaboratively support develop of educational curriculum and quality improvement initiatives related to high reliability principles, teamwork, communication and situational awareness for application across the facility.
    • Collaborate with all facility services (Medical Staff, Nursing, Pharmacy, Ancillary, etc) to implement educational and quality improvement strategies that promote a culture of high reliability.
    • Collaborate in development and execution of project plans (including an opportunity statement, goals, scope, timeline and critical milestones) utilizing project management methodologies, performance measurements and tools.
    • Lead routine meetings to track the progress of a project per plan, developing appropriate status reports and escalation strategies.
    • Use meaningful outcome and financial measurement tools to define the need for improvement and test the success of iterative changes.
    • Participate in the development of strategies with Marketing, Human Resources, Education and other stakeholders to implement sustainment plans for desired behavioral and cultural changes.
    • Serve as a behavioral model of continuous performance improvement with a focus on facility culture and patient safety.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    Minimum required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. 
    • Three years’ experience in Acute Care Nursing
    • Three years’ experience in leadership and project management.

    Preferred: 

    •  Master’s degree

    Licenses/Certifications:

    Minimum required:

    •  Current California Registered Nurse License.

     

    Preferred: 

    •  Lean certification and/or Six Sigma Green Belt. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
